Sisterhood of Super Women Supports Packs

March 22, 2016 By Alana Roberts Leave a Comment

SOSW members Debra Garza and Andrea Brundage

Many thanks go out to the members of the Sisterhood of Super Women and to Bellagios’ Restaurant in Mesa, Arizona for supporting our project Packs for Prosperity and the Simple Rules Foundation this past weekend.

Alana Roberts of Packs for Prosperity and Mallary Tytel of the Simple Rules Foundation

The members showed their support by their attendance at our monthly meeting, their cash contributions to the “hope jar” and by bringing supplies such as personal hygiene products, snacks, backpacks and many other basic and essential supplies for our homeless population in Phoenix.

Cricket FosnaughWe enjoyed tasty food prepared by Israel, Sam and the owner Mike Bipar and had a wonderful afternoon sharing our passions and the “Super” things that we are doing to make this world and our community a better place for all of us.

Our special thanks goes out to Cricket Fosnaugh for her powerful pencil sketch which she created from a discarded pencil and made especially for the this event along with a phenomenal story to go along with the drawing.

We appreciate the support of the members of the Sisterhood of Super Women.  You are all SUPER!

Alana and Mallary

All Women are INVITED to attend!

What is the Sisterhood of Super Women?

I founded the Sisterhood of Super Women in 2009 because I found through my motivational speaking that so many women were feeling like they wanted to do more to not only empower each other but to pay it forward to the super people, places and organizations helping to make our community a better place.

We’ve grown up hearing about Super Man – but not nearly enough about Super Woman. Super – not because we have extraordinary powers – but because we are a community of passionate, strong, smart and giving women who don’t give ourselves or each other enough recognition for all we accomplish.

One Sunday every other month we select a different charity to learn about and support through monetary or in-kind donations. We spend two hours over lunch getting to know about the great work happening in our community while getting to know each other better and the various causes that fuel our passion.  We are the Sisterhood of Super Women because we are making a difference in the community we live.

The Pencil Whisperer

February 2, 2016 By Alana Roberts Leave a Comment

12625976_10204789723657587_1597031729_nCricket Fosnaugh is the artist here. We call her “the pencil whisperer.”  She finds pencils on her path and creates drawings by feeling the energy of the pencil.

She is creating this one of a kind drawing for the next Sisterhood of Super Women meeting on March 20th at Bellagios Restaurant in Mesa.

Packs for Prosperity, along with the Simple Rules Foundation, will be presenting at this meeting and the drawing has significant meaning for this Project.

Attend this next meeting for a chance to win this beautiful drawing and to see it completed. Cricket also writes a beautiful excerpt to explain the energy of the piece.  Visit her website here!

Thank you Cricket!
