Fire takes family home

February 17, 2016 By Alana Roberts Leave a Comment

Packs for ProsperityIt is with great sadness that I share with you that last Friday night, a local family, the Hartmann’s lost their home in a fire. They have lost everything. Besides the loss of their possession’s, the hardest part of this tragedy is the loss of their best friends, their dog’s Jazzy, Bella and Cupcake who their lives in the fire.

As you can imagine their lives have been turned up side down. The overwhelming feeling of losing their dog’s, their house and their possessions all at once is something many of us could never imagine, and God willing, none of us will ever have to experience, something so tragic.

Although they have insurance it will be a very, very long process before they are able to rebuild their lives. For this reason Packs for Prosperity is working to support the family by reaching out to each of you to lend a hand or share the compassion within our community of friends.

If you are able to extend help in the form of gift cards, restaurant cards or wish to make a contribution, please contact Packs for Prosperity and we will make sure it get’s to the family.

Please continue to send them good thoughts and blessings so they will know they are not alone.

I have attached two pictures, the first being their ‘Best Friends’, and the second is a picture of what is left of their house.

All our best to each of you.

Be sure to pre-register so that we may let the restaurant know our numbers!

All Women are INVITED to attend!

What is the Sisterhood of Super Women?

I founded the Sisterhood of Super Women in 2009 because I found through my motivational speaking that so many women were feeling like they wanted to do more to not only empower each other but to pay it forward to the super people, places and organizations helping to make our community a better place.

We’ve grown up hearing about Super Man – but not nearly enough about Super Woman. Super – not because we have extraordinary powers – but because we are a community of passionate, strong, smart and giving women who don’t give ourselves or each other enough recognition for all we accomplish.

One Sunday every other month we select a different charity to learn about and support through monetary or in-kind donations. We spend two hours over lunch getting to know about the great work happening in our community while getting to know each other better and the various causes that fuel our passion.  We are the Sisterhood of Super Women because we are making a difference in the community we live.

XO

Thank you to Artists for a Cause

February 16, 2016 By Alana Roberts Leave a Comment

Packs for ProsperityThis past weekend was amazing.  I spent the weekend at the art show “Artists for a Cause” in Scottsdale, Arizona.  The sun was shining and it was a beautiful 85 degrees.  The mountains were the backdrop to the show of 22 artists.  To top it off we were blessed with the beautiful sounds of Joshua Isaac and Nicki Park.

The Artists for a Cause hosts art shows two weekends per month at the Mercado in Scottsdale on Via Linda.  They donate a portion of their proceeds to a different “cause” each month.  Packs for Prosperity was chosen as the “cause” for the month of February.  We are grateful for the opportunity to be a part of your show and to help support the amazing artists who are supporting our community.

The next show is scheduled for February 26-27th.  Visit their website for complete details, directions and to see the Artists who will be attending.

Artist for a Cause

February is quite an exciting month for Packs for Prosperity!

Packs for Prosperity has been chosen as the featured charity – “cause” for the art show, Artists for a Cause for the month of February.

The mission of Artists for a Cause is to create a marketplace for Artisans to showcase their talents and to give back to the community. Share on X

Thus, in the “spirit of charity”, they are Artists for a Cause.

Each month the group selects a “cause” to support through proceeds from the weekend’s event.

The Pencil Whisperer

February 2, 2016 By Alana Roberts Leave a Comment

12625976_10204789723657587_1597031729_nCricket Fosnaugh is the artist here. We call her “the pencil whisperer.”  She finds pencils on her path and creates drawings by feeling the energy of the pencil.

She is creating this one of a kind drawing for the next Sisterhood of Super Women meeting on March 20th at Bellagios Restaurant in Mesa.

Packs for Prosperity, along with the Simple Rules Foundation, will be presenting at this meeting and the drawing has significant meaning for this Project.

Attend this next meeting for a chance to win this beautiful drawing and to see it completed. Cricket also writes a beautiful excerpt to explain the energy of the piece.  Visit her website here!

Thank you Cricket!
