The Pencil Whisperer

February 2, 2016 By Alana Roberts Leave a Comment

12625976_10204789723657587_1597031729_nCricket Fosnaugh is the artist here. We call her “the pencil whisperer.”  She finds pencils on her path and creates drawings by feeling the energy of the pencil.

She is creating this one of a kind drawing for the next Sisterhood of Super Women meeting on March 20th at Bellagios Restaurant in Mesa.

Packs for Prosperity, along with the Simple Rules Foundation, will be presenting at this meeting and the drawing has significant meaning for this Project.

Attend this next meeting for a chance to win this beautiful drawing and to see it completed. Cricket also writes a beautiful excerpt to explain the energy of the piece.  Visit her website here!

Thank you Cricket!

Kindness increases serotonin

January 20, 2016 By Alana Roberts Leave a Comment

Kindness Is Contagious sign with sky background

The positive effect of kindness on the immune system and on the increased production of serotonin in the brain has been proven in research studies.

Serotonin is a naturally occurring substance in the body that makes us feel more comfortable, peaceful, and even blissful. In fact, the role of most antidepressants is to stimulate the production of serotonin chemically, helping to ease depression.

Research has shown that a simple act of kindness directed toward another improves the functioning of the immune system and stimulates the production of serotonin in both the recipient of the kindness and the person extending the kindness. Even more amazing is that persons observing the act of kindness have similar beneficial results.

Imagine this! Kindness extended, received, or observed beneficially impacts the physical health and feelings of everyone involved!

— The Power of Intention, Dr. Wayne W. Dyer

Your Kindness Matters

January 18, 2016 By Alana Roberts Leave a Comment

Packs for Prosperity

If you think that your acts of kindness do not matter, or that they go unnoticed, you are mistaken.

I am filled with warmth and joy as I sit reading the stack of thank you cards that we received from the boys at a local group home in Mesa. Their heartfelt appreciation of the Christmas gift bags that Packs for Prosperity prepared and gifted them was so beautifully hand written in their grateful words.

I appreciate the support that Packs for Prosperity has received from this community and in helping us to continue to make a difference in the lives of others.  Your donations have been PROFOUNDLY appreciated by these boys. This is one of the most moving experiences of my life…

Blessings to you,

Packs for Prosperity

H2E Design shares its Good Karma

January 14, 2016 By Alana Roberts Leave a Comment

Candles for a CauseH2E Design and Nicholas Cappele have generously shared their “Good Karma” with Packs for Prosperity this winter.

H2E creates a variety of spa products and candles in its Phoenix based facility.  They use only quality ingredients and essential oils in their products and they have beautiful scents along with their other benefits.

H2E has created a line of products specifically for their Good Karma Collection.  Each season has its own unique scents.  The Winter Good Karma Collection includes the Bayberry, Cinnamon Stick, Hearthside, Lovespell Homme, Lovespell Femme and my all time favorite Orange Chili Pepper.

Each season H2E Design chooses a charity to receive 10% of the product sales of the Good Karma Collection for that season as part of their “Candles for a Cause” campaign.

As promised, Packs for Prosperity received a generous check from H2E Design for the Winter sales!

We will be putting the funds to good use while creating our next big batch of backpacks for those in need in the East Valley and Metro Phoenix.  We will be adding small blankets, hats and gloves to these winter packs.

Thank you H2E Design for your support in this community!
